Ballroom

The Manger Ballroom

The Manger Ballroom - with dramatic arched windows and an amazing view of South Potomac Street, the ballroom has been laid out for a variety of events including banquets, fundraisers, wedding receptions, small performances, holiday parties, and more. The wood floor, wood-paneled walls, and acoustical paneling create a classy atmosphere. The capacity is 215 for banquet-style seating and up to 400 for a standing, social event. This space includes an audio-visual system with a recessed projection screen and surround sound.*

Studio

The View Studio

The View Studio - with a vinyl “sprung” floor, mirrored wall and an abundant amount of natural light, The View is ideal for small parties or networking events, rehearsals, and performances. This new space has a capacity of 100 for a standing, social event, 85 for performance seating, and 72 for banquet-style seating. The View has a user-friendly audio-visual system with an audio mixer, a full range of speakers, amplifiers and can support wired/wireless microphones.*

The Historic Auditorium

The Historic Auditorium - can accommodate up to 1300 people and is a unique venue to host your wedding, business presentation, or special performance. The Maryland Theatre offers professional support for audio, visual, and lighting and is within walking distance to ample parking and downtown restaurants.*


Cocktail Lounge

The Cocktail Lounge - has a large custom bar from the historic theatre, Corinthian columns, and a view down the grand staircase. Located on the second floor and adorned with an elliptical domed ceiling and grand chandelier, it is perfect for small private parties or business happy hours. This space can accommodate 50-100 people and is available when the Maryland Theatre is not hosting a performance in the auditorium.*

  • $495 5-hours (cannot be used during a performance in the historic auditorium)

The Conference Room

The Conference Room

The Conference Room - can seat up to 20 people and is an ideal location for working luncheons, off-site board meetings, small trainings, open employment interviews, and more. This space includes a large screen digital monitor with HDMI display capabilities. Enjoy complimentary use of Keurig & bottled water. Clients have the option to provide their own food in this space (some conditions apply).

The Suite

The Suite

The Suite is in the historic projection room at the rear of the balcony seating. It can host up to 12 people and serves as a great space for networking or socializing during events and performances on-stage. Additionally the Suite is a perfect space for a sensory-friendly viewing or experience or auto-immune compromised patrons who wish to enjoy the performance with a small group of friends or family members. The space is fully enclosed and soundproof. It offers large viewing windows of the stage and audio of the performance via speaker system. Guests can relax on lounge furniture and enjoy a private concessions bar.  Suite seating can be purchased by calling The Maryland Theatre Box Office directly at 301-790-2000.
